​BEST EGG DISH EVER… DON’T WANT TO HEAR OTHERWISE
SHAKSHUKA
ONE PAN… EASY RECIPE… MINIMAL WASHING UP
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large onion, grated
- 1 red bell pepper, finely diced
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 Serrano pepper, seeds out, finely diced
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp sweet paprika
- 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
- 1/2 tsp coriander
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 400g tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 tbsp rose harissa
- 5 eggs
- parsley + coriander, finely chopped for garnish
1. Heat oil and sautee onions till golden and translucent. After throw pepper, garlic and chilly in
2. Add spices all at once and sautee for 30 seconds before adding tomato puree and harissa. Sautee again for 1 min
3. Score tomatoes and place them inside pan and cover with a lid for 10 minutes. After peel off the skins
4. Mash tomatoes down and cook for a further couple minutes
5. Make little nests inside pan using spoon, for the eggs, and crack them into the nests once made
6. Cover with lid, turn down the heat and cook for 4/5 minutes
7. Garnish with herbs
