Met Council on Jewish Poverty: Operates the largest kosher food pantry network in the U.S.. They offer digital, client-choice, and holiday-specific food distributions (including for Passover and Ramadan)
Masbia Soup Kitchen Network: An emergency program providing hot meals in a restaurant-style setting and weekly grocery bags. They have locations in Borough Park, Flatbush, and Queens, plus a new annex in the Upper West Side.
Since 1984, NCJW NY has operated our weekly Food Pantry every Monday, providing a three-day emergency supply of groceries to families in need. We provide fresh produce and dairy items along with non-perishable staples like rice, beans, canned tuna and peanut butter. Our Food Pantry serves approximately 300 families each week. Some clients may come just once in an emergency situation, and others may come every month as they struggle with long term food insecurity. All are welcomed as friends and neighbors, in their own language.
